The paper presents the results of the research on certain aspects of PR function in Serbian companies. 70 PR managers were polled, and it is estimated that they represent a third of the total number of PR managers in Serbia. 29 questions were asked, and they were divided into three characteristic categories: a) Questions relevant to the analysis of the position of PR managers and their profession; b) Questions relevant to the analysis of characteristic profession and education of PR managers; c) Questions relevant to the analysis of the most frequent and most important activities and media for the performance of PR function. In addition to the presentation of the results of the survey, the paper also presents their detailed analysis.

Problems of justice, such as high managerial salaries or the introduction of minimum wages, today arouse a lot of public attention and debate. This hints at the general fact that "justice" cannot be reduced to mere efficiency questions as economists very often tend to assume. Therefore, this paper deals with opportunities to include aspects of social justice in economic analyses. The authors describe the historical development from the Aristotelian concept of justice via the medieval idea of pretium iustum towards the classical liberal approach of Adam Smith. Rationalization in its different forms is an important aspect of life within German establishments. The paper analyzes different restructuring projects which can be associated with the rationalization concepts of "operational decentralization" and "strategic management of boundaries" and discusses their impact on establishment-level codetermination through works councils. The analysis is based on the 2006 WSI-survey of establishment-level restructuring which focuses on the intensity of restructuring as well as on the depth of participation of works councils. The comparison of operational decentralization and strategic management of boundaries reveals important differences.

Social institutions have recently started to adapt the principle of leadership. The particular characteristics of leadership in social institutions have hardly been identified jet. In this article, we aim at identifying the shape that leadership takes in the context of authority, power, management and with relation to the social aspect. The increasing dominance of economic thinking has contributed to an increasing precarious position of social principles. Leadership might face a special challenge if hen it takes on responsibility of protecting social priorities from annihilation through economy. Moreover, leadership might have to protect itself from being seduced by its own power, too.

Organisational spirituality has gained popularity. While some authors see a spiritually fulfilling workplace as a benefit for employees and organisations alike, critical authors point out the potentially totalising effects of organisations that try to colonise employees' minds, hearts and souls.
