This perspective rests on the notion that organizations are characterized by both pluralistic interests and domination. Against this background we identify the basic conditions of employee suggestion schemes, their main actors and their interests, and aspects of domination. By means of a case study we deepen and substantiate the theoretical analysis. There is much change happening within outpatient care in Germany. What will be the out-come of these changes? This article analyzes changes in the legal framework and policy impacts concerning the system of organized interests. Subsequently the manifold changes in German regions are analyzed to develop ideal-typical scenarios of the possible future of hierarchy, market, and cooperation in outpatient care governance. This study uses an information processing view to assess how autonomy of foreign R&D units in a major emerging market is influenced by the organizational and environmental conditions they face. The researchers argue that specification of the autonomy is an optimal decision requiring a balance between the costs of information processing capacity and the needs of information processing for performing R&D tasks. The analysis suggests that autonomy of foreign R&D units increases when they emphasize development (as opposed to research) and local market (as opposed to global market), and decreases when R&D units face higher regulatory influence and lower industrial growth.
