Entrepreneurialism within organisations has been praised for serving employees and employers alike, but it has also been criticised as exercising power over employees in an unobtrusive, yet effective way. Within the literature from both advocates and critics, two dichotomies prevail. First, 'enterprise' is considered as a monolithic concept that is either 'liberating' or governing employees; second, it tends to be viewed as strongly opposed to 'bureaucracy'. Cell-mediated immunity (CMI) response of healthy humans and cancer (Ca) patients to specific tumor antigen and nonspecific (LDV - lactate dehydrogenase virus) antigen, and of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and schizophrenia (Sch) patients to nonspecific antigen was investigated. Large differences of CMI response of healthy humans in comparison with Ca, AMI, Sch patients were found. CMI response to antigens displays transferred information about cells under immune surveillance. LDV disturbs the oxidative energy production system. We assume that CMI response to LDV antigen monitors pathological states of mitochondrial energy production which results in disturbances of electromagnetic activity of living cells.

This paper provides an overview of the sequential shift towards activating labor market and social policy in Germany. It not only shows the changes in the instruments of active and passive labor market policies but also analyzes the implications of this change for the political economy and the legal structure of a "Bismarckian" welfare state. Our study points at the changes in Germany's status- and occupation-oriented unemployment benefit regime that has been relinquished for a larger share of benefit recipients. The purpose of this paper is to extend the concept of positive ethical deviancy and moral imagination to the entrepreneurial environment. We specifically explore the connection between moral imagination and positive ethical deviance in firms that, from their inception, display positive deviance from established ethical industry norms. The paper focuses on signaling options for managerial talent under different higher education regimes. The educational paths in a sample of top managers of the 100 largest publicly traded companies in the U.S., France and Germany are consistent with our theoretical conjectures. For the singular role of the German doctorate, the traditional chair system in doctoral education and training is essential. The effects of higher education reforms are discussed. In Germany the doctorate is a powerful signal for managerial talent. Future signaling options are closely tied to German higher education reform.
